When the usual answers are no longer enough.

Therapy for men who seem to have it together but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected underneath.

Andrew Mahtani, MSW, LCSW

I’m a therapist, coach, and college professor based in Jupiter, Florida. I specialize in working with men navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship struggles, shame, identity, recovery, life transitions, and the pressure to keep everything together.

My approach is direct, practical, conversational, and grounded in real life, with an emphasis on understanding patterns, solving problems, and making meaningful change. For clients who want it, Christian faith and values can also be integrated into the work — without judgment, pressure, or assumptions about where you are spiritually.

You may be working, providing, showing up for everyone else, and doing what you’re supposed to do — while privately feeling anxious, burned out, disconnected, ashamed, or unsure what needs to change. Maybe your relationship is struggling. Maybe you’re questioning your direction, your habits, your faith, or the kind of man you want to be.

Therapy gives you a place to be honest about what’s actually happening without having to perform, minimize it, or have all the answers first.

Many men look fine on the outside while hurting on the inside.

How I Can Help

A More Personalized, Direct Approach

Bespoke Therapy

Therapy shouldn’t feel one-size-fits-all. I tailor the work to the person in front of me — your history, goals, relationships, values, and the patterns you’re trying to change. My style is direct, collaborative, and practical, with room to go deeper when that’s what you need.

For men who want faith to be part of the process, Christian beliefs and spiritual questions can be integrated naturally. If that isn’t something you want to focus on, that’s respected too.

FAQs

Who does Mahtani Therapy work with?

1.

Mahtani Therapy primarily works with men navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship struggles, grief, addiction or compulsive behaviors, identity concerns, faith questions, major life transitions, and the pressure to keep everything together. Mahtani Therapy also works with young adults and others who connect with this direct, personalized approach.

Does Mahtani Therapy only work with men?

2.

No. Men are a primary focus of Mahtani Therapy, but I also work with older children, adolescents, young adults, and a small number of women when the fit is right. Some women have shared that they value the different perspective a male therapist can bring, particularly around relationships, communication, boundaries, and recurring patterns.

What concerns does Mahtani Therapy help with?

3.

Mahtani Therapy helps clients work through anxiety, depression, burnout, stress, relationship and family concerns, grief and loss, addiction and compulsive behaviors, identity concerns, life transitions, and patterns that may be keeping them stuck.

What can I expect from Mahtani Therapy’s approach?

4.

You can expect a direct, collaborative, and personalized approach to therapy. Sessions are tailored to your goals, personality, values, and what is actually happening in your life—not a one-size-fits-all formula. The work may include honest conversation, practical strategies, deeper exploration of patterns, and appropriate challenge when something is keeping you stuck.

Do I need to be Christian to work with Mahtani Therapy?

5.

No. Mahtani Therapy welcomes clients from different backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives. For clients who want it, Christian faith, values, and spiritual concerns can be integrated into therapy in a thoughtful, nonjudgmental, and non-pressuring way. Faith does not have to be part of your therapy unless you want it to be.

Does Mahtani Therapy accept insurance?

Yes. Mahtani Therapy accepts Florida Blue and many Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, as well as Aetna, Cigna (Evernorth), Carelon Behavioral Health, Curative, and Ascension. Coverage varies by plan, so benefits should be verified before scheduling. Private-pay therapy is also available, and superbills can be provided for clients seeking possible out-of-network reimbursement. Mahtani Therapy does not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

6.

Does Mahtani Therapy offer both therapy and coaching?

7.

Yes. Mahtani Therapy offers both psychotherapy and coaching. Therapy is for working through mental health concerns, emotional patterns, relationships, grief, addiction, and other clinical issues. Coaching is more practical and action-oriented—focused on decisions, accountability, habits, performance, and making changes in your life. Coaching is not a substitute for mental health treatment.
